Today we'll travel outside the usual circuit, north of Siem Reap, to discover two of the most impressive and least crowded treasures of the entire Khmer Empire. Your private English-speaking driver will take you there comfortably in an air-conditioned vehicle.
🏛️ Koh Ker – The Ancient City
Located 90 km from Siem Reap, Koh Ker was the capital of the Khmer Empire for a brief period in the 10th century. It covers an area of 80 km² with over 180 temples, many of which are still half-buried in the jungle. Your driver will transport you to a dozen of the most impressive ones.

🍽️ Free time for lunch
We'll have lunch at a local restaurant near Koh Ker (not included). Your driver knows the best places in the area and can recommend good local options.
🌿 Beng Mealea Temple – Swallowed by the Jungle
An hour's drive separates us from this mysterious temple literally devoured by the jungle. Beng Mealea has been intentionally left unrestored, so you can see it as it was found by French explorers in the 19th century. Giant roots and centuries-old trees climb over collapsed stone blocks, creating a legendary atmosphere.
🚶 The Suspended Walkway and the Moat
A wooden walkway makes it easy to access the interior. You'll also be able to walk around the large moat surrounding the temple. Your driver will drop you off and wait for you to explore at your own pace.
🕔 17:30 – Return to Siem Reap and end of service
We begin the journey back (approximately one hour through the Cambodian countryside). Arrival at your hotel around 5:30 PM.
